May 17, 2020 - Niko's Dream Wins at Gulfstream Park

Niko's Dream made a scintillating run through the stretch, passing five horses, to win her second level allowance race at Gulfstream Park May 17th. Given a patient ride by Dylan Davis, who had her settled early and was then able to guide her outside of horses for the stretch drive, she responded with a powerful finish getting to the wire a neck ahead of the race favorite. She received $23,400 in purse money and her Beyer speed figure of 80 is her lifetime high.

March 28, 2020 - Tiz the Law Wins the Grade 1 Curlin Florida Derby

Tiz the Law lived up to his billing as the favorite in the 2020 Florida Derby. He went off as the 7 to 5 favorite, winning by 4 1/4 lengths. Jockey Manny Franco gave him a prefect ride, sitting outside the two leaders going into the 3rd turn, roused him going around the turn and he drew off in the stretch to win by 4 1/4 lengths. For his victory, Tiz earned 100 points for the Kentucky Derby and now has 122 which will assure him a place in the 2020 Kentucky Derby.

October 5, 2019 - Tiz the Law Wins the Grade 1 Champagne Stakes at Belmont Park

Tiz the Law put on an awesome performance in winning the prestigious Grade 1 Champagne Stakes at Belmont Park on October 5, 2019. He earned $275,000 for the win.  

The way he won after overcoming a challenging trip gives reason to believe that if he stays healthy and sound, he has the potential to be in the starting gate of the 2020 Kentucky Derby.

It has been decided to point Tiz the Law to The Kentucky Jockey Club Grade II race at Churchill Downs on Saturday November 30th. The 1 1/16 Mile race has a purse of $300,000 and will provide the winner with 10 points for the Kentucky Derby.

August 20, 2019 - Niko's Dream Wins at Saratoga

Niko's Dream won her New York Bred 1st level Allowance race at Saratoga on August 30. In a courageous effort in which she was bumped at the start and split horses in tight quarters in the stretch before finishing strongly, she showed a new dimension. Instead of racing outside horses in the stretch, she split horses in tight quarters and finished strongly. She earned $ 44,000 and now has lifetime earnings of $169,270.

August 15, 2019 - Dearly Declared Retires

X-rays taken recently on Dearly Declared’s front knees revealed a long hairline fracture of the third carpel bone of the right front knee. Unfortunately, while she could recover from this injury and go back into training in a few months, Barclay and Robin are doubtful that with the arthritis in her knees she could withstand the rigors of the training that would be necessary to prepare her for a race.

As a result, the decision has been made to retire her. He retirement plans have been finalized and she will return to Joanne Nielsen's Sunnyfield Farm which consists of 240 acres near Bedford, New York. She was Bred at Sunnyfield Farm and will join its small band of broodmares. Joanne Nielsen is a highly respected breeder who serves on the Board of Directors of New York Thoroughbred Breeders.

Following several weeks of rehab for her knee injury, Dearly Declared will return to her birthplace and begin her broodmare career in 2020.

August 8, 2019 - Tiz the Law Finishes First in a Spectacular Fashion in Saratoga

Tiz the Law began his career in a spectacular fashion at Saratoga Race Course on August 8th when he won his Maiden race against 2-year-old New York Breds by 4 1/4 lengths under a hand ride by jockey Junior Alvarado wrapped up the final 1/16th of a mile. The Beyer speed figure received was 90. Tiz the Law will be pointed to the Bertram E. Bongard, a 7 Furlong stakes race for New York Breds at Belmont Park on September 20th which has a purse of $150,000.

July 31, 2019 - Niko's Dream Finishes 2nd at Saratoga

Niko’s Dream finished 2nd in the New York Stallion Stake Statue of Liberty Division at Saratoga Race Course on July 31st. As in her previous Stallion Stake race at Belmont, she was beaten by Kid is Frosty who enjoyed a ground saving trip on the lead and still had the ability to repel Niko’s late charge. She earned $ 30,000 in purse money. She is being pointed to a allowance race for New York Bred fillies and mares who are non-winners of 2 races at Saratoga on August 30th.

June 23, 2019 - Niko's Dream Finished 2nd, Beaten by a Neck.

Niko’s Dream finished 2nd beaten by only a neck in her stakes debut on June 23rd in the Cupecoy's Joy Stallion Series race at Belmont Park. Her usual closing kick fell just short in the 7 Furlong race which arguably is not her best distance. Jockey Junior Alvarado said following the race that the relatively slow pace combined with the cut back to a 7 Furlong race kept her from the Winner's Circle. She earned $30,000 in purse money and received a career high 75 Beyer speed figure.

May 19, 2019 - Niko’s Dream Wins at Belmont Park

Niko's Dream overcame the outside post 12 to win her Maiden race at Belmont Park on May 19th. The Maiden Special Weight race for New York Bred Fillies and Mares was 1 Mile on the turf with a purse of $62,000. She earned $34,100 for the win and now has lifetime earnings of $65,270 in lifetime earnings.

The New York Stallion Stakes-Cupecoy's Joy Division at Belmont Park on June 23rd is her anticipated the next race. It is 7 Furlongs on the turf with a purse of $150,000.

February 9, 2019 - Niko's Dream Finishes Second at Gulfstream Park

Niko's Dream finished second in her 1 Mile Maiden Special Weight turf race at Gulfstream Park on February 9th. She was beaten by 1 ¼ lengths by a Chad Brown trained filly sired by Medaglia d'Oro that was purchased for $625,000. The horse that finished behind her in third was a filly sired by Scat Daddy that sold for $650,000. For her second place finish on February 9th, Niko earned $8,170 and received a lifetime high Beyer speed figure of 70.

January 6, 2019 - Dearly Declared Finishes Third at Gulfstream Park

Dearly Declared’s initial race on the turf at Gulfstream Park on January 6th in which she finished third beaten by four lengths earned her a lifetime high Beyer speed figure of 68. Her effort clearly showed that turf is her preferred surface as she broke alertly from the gate and led until the top of the stretch in quick fractions. She battled gamely through the stretch to finish third to an even money Chad Brown trained horse. Her third place finish resulted in purse earning of $4,300.

July 5, 2018 - Flattermefabulous Retired

Sackatoga Stable recently retired its 6 year-old mare Flattermefabulous due to a left front leg condition that was not conducive to racing.

She provided a lot of racing enjoyment as she earned over $140,000 in purse money. In 16 lifetime starts, she had three wins, two seconds, and two thirds. She is the only Sackatoga Stable horse to win a race at all three NYRA tracks, a feat even Funny Cide did not accomplish.  

Sackatoga Stable has arranged for her initial retirement placement to be at Rerun in East Greenbush, New York that is in New York State’s Capital District. A contribution of $1,000 will be made to Rerun to support its operation. Following her time there, she will be placed appropriately in safe hands for her second career.
